Explore the surprising, squirmy, squishy world of invertebrates in this exciting camp. Compare and contrast the anatomical and physiological aspects of representative invertebrate animals to discover evidence of how all organisms can be related. You’ll practice lab skills through multiple dissections that will deepen your understanding and appreciation for the diversity of our animal kingdom.

Jackie Elder

Jackie Elder brings to the Summer Academy program a diverse background, with extensive experience in both health care and science education. Working as an educator for over fifteen years, Jackie has a passion to inspire youth, specifically in the field of science. Jackie’s educational background is focused on Biology but has a wealth of knowledge in other subject areas such as chemistry, physics, anatomy, oceanography, and zoology. This is Jackie’s third year as a Summer Academy instructor.
