Are you curious about hand-made jewelry and sculpture? In this camp, you will learn basic metalsmithing techniques for creating beautiful artworks in metal, utilizing the jewelry-making studios at Lamar Dodd School of Art’s Thomas Street Complex. Develop new artistic abilities and experience in UGA’s Jewelry and Metals facilities in this exciting camp!

Leah Mazza

Leah Mazza is currently a part time metalsmithing instructor in the Jewelry and Metalwork area at the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Leah graduated with a master’s degree in fine art at The University Of Georgia in 2020. Her art practice and research focus mainly on drawing, mixed media, found object art, and metal sculpture. Through these methods, she brings together the two extremes which inspire her work. The wonder, beauty, and mystery of our natural world; as well as the destruction, disillusionment, and decay of our modern industrialized society.
