Summer Academy Junior Internship

Summer Academy at UGA is a series of STEM and Arts-based academic camps for middle and high school students hosted by the UGA Center for Continuing Education and Hotel. Our Summer Academy Junior program offers STEM-based camps for younger campers, aged 7 to 10. Summer Academy at UGA seeks undergraduate Education, Child and Family Development, Social Work, and Kinesiology majors, but all applicants will be considered for the planning and coordination of Summer Academy Junior. Working as a cohort, Summer Academy Junior Interns will create and execute five one-week-long STEM educational camps for upper elementary school students. This internship will give participants hands-on experience in lesson planning, classroom management, and program assessment. In addition to curriculum development, interns will communicate with on-campus and external organizations to plan all aspects of the camp program. Interns will be supervised and mentored by the Summer Academy Camp Director.

Salary:

$13.25 – $14.50 per hour
