Unlock the secrets of cybersecurity in this immersive week-long camp hosted by UGA’s CyberArch Program! Dive into the world of digital security as you gain an understanding of essential principles that protect individuals and organizations online.
Explore a wide range of topics, from understanding digital hygiene and the importance of data protection to recognizing and mitigating common cyber threats. Learn about industry standards, such as the CIS Controls, and gain hands-on experience in identifying vulnerabilities and strengthening security measures. Develop the foundational skills needed for solving real-world cybersecurity challenges using Python. To wrap it up, put your knowledge to the test in a case study presentation, offering recommendations to improve the cybersecurity posture of a fictional business.

Mark Lupo
Mark Lupo is a Senior Public Service Associate with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government’s Information Technology Outreach Service (CVIOG ITOS), where he serves as the CyberArch Coordinator. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University in 1987 and his Master of Business Administration from Brenau University in 1990. He received the Flewellen Award for Consulting Excellence from The University of Georgia’s Small Business Development Center in both 2012 and 2016. Additionally, he was honored with the UGA Walter Barnard Hill Award for Distinguished Achievement in Public Service and Outreach in 2021. Mr. Lupo specializes in helping organizations strengthen their cybersecurity posture through the CyberArch program.

Campers should bring a laptop to camp with them each day.
